Our Service 1 provides specimens or biological derivatives of mosquito and sandfly vectors for research purposes. Currently, we offer specimens of Phlebotomus perniciosus Newstead, 1911 (sandflies vectors of Leishmaniasis); Anopheles gambiae Gilles, 1902 (malaria vector in Afrotropical region); Anopholes stephensi Liston, 1901 (Asian malaria vector); Anopholes atroparvus van Thiel, 1927 (former malaria vector in Europe) and Culex theileri Theobald, 1903 (dirofilariasis vector). Other arthropod colonies, including invasive non-autochthonous species, may be installed upon request and approval from the Management and Scientific Committees.

Insectary Facilities

Our insectary facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and are maintained under strict environmental conditions to ensure the health and wellbeing of our mosquito colonies. We have multiple insectary rooms, each with independent temperature and humidity control systems, to accommodate different mosquito species and their specific requirements.
